SUMMER SEMESTER

Intern Positions Available:
6-8 Positions

What you get:

• Experience working with a team of dynamic young adults (and a couple older adults) and students  
• Participate in the Silver Ring Thing "Big Summer Fling Event"...you help make the show happen (on stage or behind the scenes)
• Help coordinate and facilitate Leadership Week- one week mid-summer when 50-60 high school students from around the country come to Pittsburgh for leadership training, discipleship, fellowship, fun activities, and growth in their walk.
• Work and play in a Christian community - yah, we're Christian and we have a lot of fun
• Experience a "non-traditional" ministry setting - if you're looking for something off the beaten path of "traditional" ministry, then you'll wanna try this
• Personal development - this ain't no "go-get-me-some-coffee" internship! You will have opportunities that challenge your growth in all areas of life
• Casual dress - no dressing up for work here...we're all about comfort, but not crusty-ness

DETAILS:

Who can apply:
College students at least sophomore year or above; must have own means of transportation (car, truck, scooter, or something like that)

Length:
2.5 months from June-August (varying start dates depending on your personal schedule)

Compensation:
Academic Credit, Gas/Travel stipend, Travel with team, housing with host family in Pittsburgh, PA (if you live outside of the area)

Majors/Field of Study:
Communications, Broadcasting/Production, Marketing, Sociology, Christian Ministry, Youth/Student Ministry, Journalism, Public Relations, and OTHERS.  If you don't see your major listed here, just email marie@silverringthing.com and we'll try to tailor the internship to fit your needs.
