Silver Ring Thing is currently seeking 5 college interns in the following areas:
Marketing / Accounting / Communications & Public Relations / Graphic Design / Video

DETAILS:

Who can apply:
College students who have completed their sophomore year or above; must have own means of transportation (car, truck, scooter, or something like that)

Length:
2 months from June 1 - August 1, 2011 (varying start dates depending on your personal schedule)

Compensation:
Academic Credit, Gas/Travel stipend to & from SRT office

Majors/Field of Study:
Communications, Accounting, Broadcasting/Production, Video Editing, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, and Public Relations preferred.  Sociology, Christian Ministry, Youth/Student Ministry also encouraged.  If you don't see your major listed here, just email Internships@silverringthing.com and we can discuss what opportunities exist to fit your passion and experience.

Opportunities exist for the following areas:

Marketing / Communications / Public Relations Interns

  • Research and develop promotional strategy utilizing social networking
  • Work with National Director on scheduling Live Events
  • Aid in website design and alteration
  • Work with Promotions Coordinator to advertise and promote Live Events
  • Help develop and implement marketing plans for increased branding and product awareness
  • Work alongside Project 434 Director in marketing and promotions strategies

Accounting Interns

  • Audit preparation
  • Bookkeeping and SRT show entry/data
  • Assist SRT Accountant in accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation of bank statements/credit cards

Creative Writing Interns

  • Write newsletters for teens, parents, leaders
  • Develop and update discipleship follow-up for students
  • Create material for webpage
  • Research various topics and projects for monthly updates and devotionals

Creative Arts and Graphic Design Interns

  • Develop website presence and relevance
  • Design graphics, logos, posters, flyers for entire upcoming tour
  • Illustrate SRT resource materials and books
  • *Sufficient knowledge and background in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator required.

Video Interns

  • Work alongside SRT Creative Director to produce high-end promotional and program-related videos
  • Help create content and material for 2011-2012 SRT Tour
  • Must have intermediate understanding of how to work with Final Cut Pro HD, After Effects and/or Motion
  • Must have intermediate understanding of editing, importing, exporting, rendering, compression rates, motion graphics and a basic understand of cameras, filming, lighting, and sound
  • Unique opportunities to think creatively and work independently
  • Having own equipment is desired by not a requirement
